2nd Year: Specialization & Practical Exposure

Summer Internship Project (SIP)

  • Duration: 4–6 weeks between Semester 2 and 3
  • Objective: Gain hands-on industry experience through a structured project
  • Evaluation: SIP report assessed as part of academic credits

International Experience Program (IEP)

  • Option: Pursue global exposure under GTU-approved arrangements at a foreign university
  • Outcome: Report prepared at the foreign university evaluated as equivalent to SIP
  • Benefit: Enhance cross-cultural skills and global business acumen

Semesters 3 & 4: Specialization and Advanced Learning

  • In the 2nd year, students must select one specialization to shape their career path, which applies to both Semesters 3 and 4. This choice drives the selection of functional electives, complemented by core subjects, sectoral electives, and additional coursework for a well-rounded management education.

Specializations

Choose one of the following high-demand specializations:

  • Marketing –Master strategies for brand management, digital marketing, and consumer behavior.
  • Finance – Develop expertise in investment analysis, financial modeling, and risk management.
  • Human Resources (HR) – Lead with skills in talent acquisition, organizational development, and employee engagement.

Additional Coursework

After selecting a specialization, students complete:

  • Core Subjects –Compulsory courses to strengthen leadership and strategic management skills (e.g., Strategic Management, Business Ethics).
  • Functional Electives –Advanced courses aligned with the chosen specialization (e.g., Sales Management for Marketing, Corporate Banking for Finance, Labor Laws for HR).
  • Sectoral Electives – Industry-specific courses to broaden perspectives, such as:
